Supply crisis in Russia is growing: 40 percent of chips from China are problematic!

But a new report shared by the Russian national trade newspaper Kommersant has revealed that 40 percent of chips sent from China to Russia are problematic.

According to what the Register reported, the Kommersant newspaper says only 2 percent of chips imported into Russia before the war were defective. Today, we can say that this figure, which has reached the level of 40 percent, indicates a big problem when considering how many components are found in electronic products.

According to the details in the newspaper, claiming that the failure rates are not only related to supply problems and the pandemic, but also due to the sanctions imposed, Russia states that China is left alone with Gray market distributors and parallel import suppliers. As it is known, many businesses in Russia left the country due to import restrictions. Those who remained had to adapt to the restrictions.

It is not yet known how Russia will bring a solution to the semiconductor crisis in the country. On the other hand, China did not make any statement about the tension between Russia and Ukraine. But sanctions on the country have benefited Chinese companies dealing with US-imposed restrictions.
