Today, the champion-defining Super Bowl event in the American Football League NFL was held. NASA has released photos of some of the regions it defines as unusual in the Super Bowl list.
One of the highlights of the list is Stickney Crater on Phobos, one of Mars’ moons. There is another small crater inside the crater, which has a diameter of about 10 km. NASA team member Amanda Barnett said, “The average speed of an NFL shot is 100 km/h, and Phobos’ escape velocity is known as 40 km/h. A ball thrown by a professional quarterback can exit Photobos and enter Mars orbit.” said.

Ceres, known as the dwarf planet, has Occator Kateri, 92 km wide and 4 km deep. The crater is characterized as Ceres’ brightest point due to its highly reflective salt deposit.

Jezero Crater became famous last year with NASA’s Perseverance Mars mission. Jezero, a dried-up lake bed, was designated as the landing site for the Perseverance mission vehicle in February 2021. The mission rover explores Jezero to discover evidence of ancient microbial life. With a width of 45 km, Jezero is located in the Isidis Planitia region of Mars, close to a crater with a size of about 1200 km.
Mead Crater on Venus is among the planet’s largest impact areas. The crater, with a diameter of 2,745 km, was formed as a result of a collision that took place between 300 million and 1 billion years ago.
The collection created by Barnett includes Meteor Crater in Arizona. Also known as the Barringer Crater, the area has a diameter of 1.2 km and a depth of 170 meters. The crater in question was formed by the impact that took place about 50,000 years ago. It is stated that Meteor Crater was used as a training ground for the lunar mission by Apollo astronauts about 50 years ago.
