Strike, Moving and Expanding
Bitcoin payment startup Strike, which emerged in the US, is expanding its services to 65 countries.
Offering the possibility of paying with Bitcoin since 2019, Strike is expanding its services in the global market. It is noteworthy that during this expansion, the company moved its US headquarters to El Salvador.
In an interview with Fortune, Strike CEO Jack Mallers clarified the move to move headquarters to El Salvador. Mallers said this decision was due to increased anti-crypto regulatory moves in the US. Mallers’ bilateral relations with El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele were effective in this direction of Strike.
In addition, Strike will only offer the possibility to buy Bitcoin in countries where it expands. However, Mallers stated that this situation will be valid at the beginning and the company will develop new features. Mallers stated that the debit card application may start by the end of the year.
