Huawei and the travel app Skyscanner, which helps millions of travelers find the best options for flights, hotels and car rentals, recently announced a strategic partnership.

As part of the cooperation, integration between Skyscanner’s Flight Search API, which provides global content and coverage from more than a thousand global suppliers, and Petal Search and Petal Maps in the Huawei Mobile Service ecosystem. In this way, Petal Search and Petal Maps users will be able to easily plan their travels using Skyscanner’s rich infrastructure, and will be able to evaluate many different options for flight tickets, hotel reservations and car rentals. With this innovation, which will be offered to 200 million monthly active users in 170 countries, mainly in Europe, through Huawei Petal Search and Petal Maps, Petal Search users will enjoy easy access to the same content, coverage and competitive prices that local Skyscanner users are used to.

Thanks to the new strategic partnership, millions of Petal Search users will be able to easily find the best flight options at the most competitive prices.

Skyscanner’s collaboration with Huawei Mobile Services for Flight Search API integration comes at a time when airlines are again increasing their capacity and easing border restrictions around the world.

According to the latest survey results by Skyscanner, 86% of travelers plan to spend more or the same amount on travel than before the pandemic, and half plan to spend more. On the other hand, as the demand for travel increased rapidly in many parts of the world, it was observed that global search volumes increased by 20 percent in March compared to February.
