The company has formed an interesting partnership with Australia’s favorite jeans brand, Dr Denim, and announced a new pair of limited edition jeans that embrace and celebrate the Galaxy Z Flip 3’s unique folding form factor. The difference of these pants is that they have a special pocket for the Galaxy Z Flip 3.
The main advantage of a folding phone is that it takes up less space. Thanks to its clamshell design, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 is one of the most compact smartphones ever made – at least when folded.
Dr Denim, on the other hand, apparently sees the Galaxy Z Flip 3 as a trendsetter that could negate the benefits of having large, uncomfortable rectangular pant pockets. The fashion house applied this philosophy to a new Z-tag jeans and came up with a design with a small pocket. The pocket is designed exactly to fit the Galaxy Z Flip 3.
Jeans named Z Flip Pocket Denim retail for $1,499. It may seem like it’s more expensive than the phone itself, but that’s not the case. For $499, you don’t just get Z Flip Pocket Denim jeans, you also get a Galaxy Z Flip 3 that you can put in your pocket.
Dr Denim will only produce 450 pieces of Z Flip Pocket Denim jeans. But this may change in the future. Perhaps the Galaxy Z Flip 3 will redefine fashion trends and mark the end of baggy pockets.
