Ubisoft has decided to publish its games only on Ubisoft Connect and Epic Games Store due to Steam’s 30 percent commission in the past years. Returning from this decision in 2022, Ubisoft brought some of its games back to Steam. Now, the company wants to leave its bad days behind by presenting its current games to Steam.
Far Cry 6 and more Ubisoft games are coming to Steam!
After returning from this decision, the company added games such as Assasin’s Creed Valhalla and Watch Dogs: Legion to Steam, and Far Cry 6 on May 11, Riders Republic on June 8, Rainbow Six: Extraction on June 15, Monopoly on June 22. It will add Madness to the Steam platform. The company is working on adding the remaining games to the platform.
Ubisoft announced that pre-orders for The Division 2 increased sixfold during its separation from Steam. Now, the company says, “We’re constantly evaluating how to get our games to different audiences, wherever they are.” used the phrases. In this context, the company prefers Valve’s large user base to Epic Games’ low commission.
In addition, all these decisions can turn into a good thing on the player’s side. Released on October 7, 2021, Far Cry 6 can come with a discount, like every new Ubisoft game coming to Steam. For this reason, it is useful to follow the said dates.
