January data of Steam Steam Hardware Survey has been shared. Based on Steam users, the list shows the latest state of the competition between the operating system, graphics card and processors. While Nvidia remains at the top of this month’s list, the rivalry between Intel and AMD continues.

Ranking in the graphics card market has not changed

According to the graphics card ranking, the GTX 1650, which has recently taken the leadership throne of the GTX 1060, continues to be the most popular graphics card preferred by users. However, the model, which has been on the rise for five months, fell by a small margin of 0.15 percent this month. Following the ranking, the top five GPU models were GTX 1060, RTX 3060 mobile, RTX 2060 and RTX 3060.

In addition, while the RTX 4080 and RTX 4070 Ti are included in the list, we see that AMD’s Radeon 7000 series and Intel Arc A series cards are not yet included. It seems that users continue to wait for Nvidia and AMD’s mid and mid-range graphics cards.

Intel climbing uphill

As for the processor ranking, Intel is showing an uphill climb after a long decline. The blue team held 67.17 percent of the Steam user base, while AMD had a share of 32.8 percent. As it is known, the red team has recently released the Ryzen 7000 3D V-Cache processors. For this reason, we may encounter different results in the March lists.

Looking at the operating systems, there was a small increase of 1.73 percent in Windows 11, which was preferred by 31.59 percent of Steam users. Continuing to lose users in February, Windows 10 continues to lead with a share of 64.68 percent. The usage share of Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 did not exceed 2 percent.
