The expected news has come for Lenovo Legion Go, which seems to be a very formidable competitor to Valve’s handheld console Steam Deck. The console, which has given users ideas about how it will perform with various leaks and reports to date, was officially introduced at IFA 2023. So what does the device offer to users and how much does it cost?

Lenovo Legion Go features and price

The Lenovo Legion Go’s key layout consists of two analog sticks, a D-Pad, four buttons (A,B,X and Y) and a touchpad. There is also a mouse wheel behind the right controller. Considering that the model runs the Windows 11 operating system, we can say that it was a logical move as it would make navigation extremely easy.

If we look deeply at the design of Lenovo Legion Go, we can say that it bears a resemblance to Switch and Steam Deck. It resembles Nintendo’s console with its support leg on its back case, and it directly brings to mind the Switch’s Joy-Cons, especially with its detachable controllers. On the Lenovo side, these controllers are called Legion TrueStrike. Let’s also mention that the product weighs 854 grams.

The device has an 8.8 inch IPS LCD touchscreen with 2560×1600 pixels QHD+ resolution offering 144 Hz refresh rate. This display offers a 16:10 aspect ratio and brightness of up to 500 nits, while reducing refresh rates and resolution down to 800p and 60 Hz for better power management.

The console is powered by AMD Ryzen Z1 series processors. If users wish, the device can be upgraded to AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme.

There are 256/512 GB and 1 TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD options in the handheld console, which is available to users with 16 GB 7500Mhz LPDDR5X RAM. There’s also a microSD slot that supports up to 2TB of extra storage. Finally, let’s mention that the product comes out of the box with Windows 11 Home and is powered by a 49.2 WHr two-cell battery.

The price of the device is a bit salty. Because if we consider that the Steam Deck is sold at $ 400, we will see together what Lenovo Legion Go with a starting price tag of $ 699 can do in terms of sales.
