Steam, one of the most popular digital game stores in the world, is known for its big discounts in many periods. There is a large segment of people waiting for a discount to buy games from the company that has made exchange rate arrangements for our country in the past days. These discounts are usually announced a little before they are made, but for this year, Steam is taking a different path. Here are the Steam 2023 discount periods…
Steam announced the 2023 discount periods!
We can divide the discounts on Steam into three. First, there is the Big Seasonal Sale, which everyone is eagerly waiting for and all games can participate in. Secondly, there are Themed Discount Events (Festivals), where the games that are suitable for the theme are on sale. Finally, Next Fest is coming, where players can try demos of games that haven’t been released yet.
Steam shared the calendar of these discount periods with a blog post it shared. In addition, registrations are open for game producers to participate. The first big discount was made between 16-23 March. However, it should be noted that there is also a part where Steam says that it can make changes on these dates otherwise.

- Next Fest: 19-26 June
- Summer Sale: 29 June – 13 July (major seasonal sale)
- Privacy Festival: July 24-31
- Visual Novel Festival: August 7-14
- Strategy Festival: 28 August – 4 September
- SHMUP Festival: September 25 – October 2
- Next Fest: 9-16 October
- Return of the Steam Scream Festival (Halloween): October 26 – November 2 (more information to be shared soon)
- Autumn Sale: November 21-28 (big seasonal sale)
- Winter Sale: December 21 – January 4 (major seasonal sale)
