Twitter, which has been on the agenda with the purchase of Elon Musk in recent weeks and went to court over Musk’s abandonment of the agreement, continues to develop the platform. The social media giant has recently released a new feature that has caught some of its users by surprise.
Twitter’s new feature is the ‘Status’ feature, which will allow pre-made tags to be added to Twitter posts. With this feature, users will be able to add situations such as ‘Holiday mode, traveling, living their dreams’ to their posts, as we are used to from Facebook. The feature is currently only being tested on a limited number of users.
The new feature looks like this:
While users who saw that the feature was activated shared this situation on Twitter, a statement came from Twitter about the new feature. “We are testing a feature that lets you add statuses from a pre-set list to your Tweets for a limited time,” a Twitter spokesperson told TechCrunch. Statements were included. The continuation of the statement was as follows:
“Whether you’re about to leave an engaging Tweet thread, share your thoughts, or are facing a bad Monday, your Tweets can better convey what you’re up to.”
This new feature of Twitter, which was thought to be useful especially because of its character limit, received positive feedback from some users, while others saw it as unnecessary. The company shared that the new feature is currently available for testing by a select group in the US and Australia. It is not yet known when the feature will be available for all users.
