Breaking Bad is a series that was broadcast from 2008 to 2013 and has established a throne in the hearts of the audience with its 62 episodes. The series, which integrates mind games, drama and chemistry beautifully, continues to meet its fans in different ways, even if it ends its broadcast life. In the lead role of the series, which entered the Guinness Book of World Records with the title of the highest-rated series of all time in 2013; Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, who were awarded the Emmy for best actor four times, took part.

The producer of Breaking Bad, which tells the exemplary story of Walter White, an American chemistry teacher, and Jesse Pinkman, a former student of his, announced that statues of the main characters will be made to give something in return for the city of Albuquerque, which has hosted the series for years.

Bronze sculptures will soon meet with fans

Authorities in the city of Albuquerque, located in the US state of New Mexico, announced that bronze statues of the main characters of the Breaking Bad series will be exhibited in the city. The statues will be unveiled at the Albuquerque Convention Center on July 29, 2022, in a ceremony attended by Mayor Tim Keller, Gilligan, Peter Gould, as well as actors Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, and other special guests.

The producer of the series, Gilligan, announced that he hopes the statues he donated to the city together with Sony Pictures Television will bring tourists to the city by buses. “For 15 years, for two TV series and two movies, the city of Albuquerque has treated us very well. We want to give something back and show our gratitude to this city in return,” Gilligan said.

Series stars Cranston and Paul commented, “We’re thrilled to have bronze statues of our characters from Breaking Bad on permanent display at the Convention Center in downtown Albuquerque. Everyone at ABQ has not only been wonderful hosts through our series and Better Call Saul, but has also been instrumental in storytelling. “We want to thank them for being the characters. We are also very happy that the statues will be inside and therefore protected from pigeons that could leave their mess on us.”
