Productive artificial intelligence technologies such as ChatGPT have started to be used in the gaming industry, especially in the work of independent game developers. From ideation to coding a new game, and even writing the conversations of characters around the world, developers have started using ChatGPT.

Well, what does Take-Two Interactive, the roof company of Rockstar, the biggest name in the game world, think about this issue? Take-Two CEO also made important statements about artificial intelligence technologies at the meeting where the company’s quarterly report was shared.

“Take-Two has been involved in AI from the very beginning and is the leader in it”

Take-Two CEO started to convey his thoughts on artificial intelligence with a remarkable statement. While CEO Strauss Zelnick considers artificial intelligence and machine learning as an oxymoron, he emphasized that Take-Two has been active and a leader in these fields throughout its history.

Although he stated that the latest developments in artificial intelligence were exciting for them, he also stated that they were not surprised. The CEO said he sees AI as tools, and they are basically “better and more efficient tools.”

Let’s come to the real question: Can artificial intelligence make games? No way, according to Take-Two CEO:

“I wish I could say that advances in AI will make it easier to hit, of course not. Hitler was created by a mind. Datasets plus computing plus big language models doesn’t mean intellect. The mind is the domain of humans and I believe it will stay that way.”

In other words, the CEO of Take-Two also declared that he joined the party that opposes the use of artificial intelligence as ‘intelligence’.
