Regarding the settlement that is expected to happen soon in the Ripple-SEC lawsuit, Cryptolaw founder John Deaton stated that there will be no settlement in the next 30 days.
Given the current positive developments, the Ripple-SEC case seems to be moving steadily.
According to a recent tweet by Fox journalist Eleanor Terrett, the SEC is losing faith in the prospect of winning the case. . Terrett said the following on Twitter;
“It seems that even the staff at the SEC are not sure they will win the case against Ripple. A source close to the SEC told me that Hester Peirce privately did not think she would get the result the SEC was expecting.”
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse previously stated that Ripple is waiting for some court decisions . The court has yet to decide on the Securities and Exchange Commission’s move to counter Ripple’s defense.
The outcome of the case is eagerly awaited by both parties.
XRP-friendly Lawyer Jeremy Hogan estimates that the Ripple-SEC lawsuit could conclude between August 26 and November 18. Hogan stated that reconciliation talks could take place in April or May. He stated that the last reconciliation meeting, which took place a few months ago, was unsuccessful and the next reconciliation time would be through mediation.
