Bathesda’s latest RPG game, Starfield, has been on the agenda of the gaming world since the day it was released. So much so that the production, which was both loved and criticized, could not offer a new generation experience for many users, especially the loading screens. Speaking on stage at the recent CCXP 2023 formerly Comic Con Experience, Spencer announced that Starfield has reached more than 12 million players since its launch. In addition, Spencer stated that Starfield is among the top 10 most played games among Xbox studios and that he has experienced the game for a long time.
As you know, Bathesda’s sci-fi RPG has become the biggest launch ever for Xbox, reaching 6 million players a week after early access, 10 million players as of September 20, and 11 million players by the end of October.When asked whether Starfield will be as long-lasting as Skyrim, Spencer said;
This is our aim. Skyrim is an incredible achievement by Bethesda. When I talked to Todd Howard and the team, they said what they really wanted to do was give opportunities to people who love space and space exploration. We’ve already announced the arrival of our next expansion, Shattered Space. We’ve told the community that they will have all the mod tools to be able to create their own content in Starfield, similar to Skyrim, so there’s a lot of confidence that Starfield will be around for many years to come.
For those who missed it, Starfield won Xbox Game of the Year at the Golden Joystick 2023 Awards. It was also nominated in the Best RPG category at The Game Awards. However, it seems likely that Baldur’s Gate 3 will win this award.
