Close friends is one of the most popular features of Instagram. Many of us share stories that we do not want to share with all our followers in the close friends section. Or we just open new accounts with our friends. Meta is obviously aware of this situation. He rolled up his sleeves to use this much-loved feature more effectively.
Meta brings broadcast feature to Instagram Close Friends!
Last December, Instagram introduced Notes, a way to share text updates with friends. The company has added features such as music sharing, translation and location sharing to Notes over the past few months. Following these updates, Instagram came out with a brand new, more customized update.
In 2018, Instagram launched the ability to share stories with a private list of close friends globally. Then everyone loved this feature. In this period when lynching culture is at its peak, people do not want to share their entire private lives with all their followers. Meta will prevent the close friends feature from being limited to just stories. The feature of opening a special broadcast for some of our followers is coming soon.
A Meta spokesperson said in a statement: “We are testing the ability of people in certain countries to share their broadcast posts with their close friends. So we are always looking for new ways for our community to express themselves and connect on Instagram.” As can be seen from the statement, this Meta is currently testing this feature in some countries.
In addition, Meta aims to activate the ability to share posts in addition to broadcasting on Instagram Close Friends. So it’s widely available to share streaming posts with friends only. This eliminates the need for users to have a “finsta” account, in other words an alternative account used only for friends. Thus, the number of real people on the platform can be determined more easily.
