With the rapid growth of the GameFi industry, game companies are expanding their work in this area. Most recently, video game company Square Enix has signed an agreement to sell some game studios and intellectual property (IP) to finance blockchain-based games. It signed a deal with Swedish game company Embracer for $300 million to fund investments in blockchain, artificial intelligence and cloud services.
27 new games will be added to GeForce Now this month
Square Enix’s President Yosuke Matsuda said that the agreement will help the company change the global business environment. He also stated that the company will consolidate its core business in digital entertainment.
Finally, this agreement is very important in terms of launching Square Enix’s investment in blockchain, artificial intelligence and cloud.
