It was announced that the return of the said purchase was only 300 million dollars. With the purchase, all the rights of some giant productions passed into the hands of the Embracer Group.

Studios’ rights to all games passed to Embracer Group:

Embracer Group has acquired Crystal Dynamics and has acquired all rights to the new Tomb Raider trilogy. In addition, the company also acquired the rights to the classic Deus Ex series with Eidos Montréal, and mobile and PC games such as Square Enix Montréal and Hitman Go, Hitman: Sniper, Deus Ex Go and Lara Croft Go.

Square Enix also clarified why it decided to sacrifice these three studios in its shared statement. The company announced that the $300 million revenue it will generate will “provide the launch of new businesses and move forward with investments in areas such as blockchain, artificial intelligence and cloud.”

Embracer Group will develop new games

The purchase also caused Deus Ex fans to expect a new Deus Ex game.
