Spotify, the most used music platform today, has made another innovation that will help those who want to discover new music. The platform has released the ‘Friend Mix’ playlist, which lists new music based on the common playlists you create with your friends.
Users who want to take advantage of the new playlist will first have to create a Blend playlist with their friends. Spotify will start serving you the Friends Mix after you create a Blend playlist with three of your friends. The list will include music that is suitable and similar to the list you created with your friends.
How to create a Blend list?
- Step #1: Type ‘Blend’ in the ‘Search’ field and tap the first result.
- Step #2: Press ‘Create Blend’.
- Step #3: Invite your friends to the list by tapping ‘Invite’.
The Blend list is updated daily based on what your friends and you are listening to. You can view the Blend list you’ve created in the ‘Made for You’ section or in the ‘Playlists’ section of your ‘Library’ tab. You can click the ‘+’ icon on the page to add more friends to the same list. You can invite up to 10 people to the list. After creating a Blend list with your three friends, you can access the Friends Mix created for you from the ‘Made for You’ section.
