Spotify will rebrand its live audio app Greenroom and integrate it as a feature inside its main app, according to information from people close to the company. The change is expected to take place in the second quarter of the year.
Apart from music and podcasts, live sound is also available
Audio streaming platform Spotify purchased the Locker Room live sound application developed by Betty Labs last year and offered it to users under the name Greenroom. Locker Room was only released on the App Store, while Greenroom was available on both iOS and Android app markets.
It seems that the company is working on incorporating Greenroom into the main app under the name Spotify Live to make it more common, which isn’t reaching very many users. Once inclusion is complete, Spotify will begin offering a live audio feature in addition to music and podcasts.

It is unknown whether people will need an account to use Spotify Live after the transaction, which is expected to take place before the second half of 2022. A Spotify account is not required to use Greenroom.
