Spotify is testing a new Car Mode

Spotify removed Car View late last year so that users can more easily control the platform while driving. According to a statement made by the company, the platform has started testing a new Car Mode interface with a certain group of users.

Although Spotify has removed the Car View feature, it has summarized it as a necessary condition to pave the way for future innovations. A company spokesperson confirmed to TechCrunch that they have now started testing a new Car Mode interface with some users, as they mentioned earlier.

Screenshots obtained by 9to5Google offer a first look at the new feature. The new Car Mode offers a simpler view instead of details that can distract while driving. The feature, which has a triple bottom tab, will also allow users to search for audio music. The control buttons also have larger dimensions compared to the normal view.

Spotify’ s new Car Mode is still in the testing phase and the company will make the feature more widely available based on the feedback from testers. For this reason, some changes may be made before the feature is made available to the general public.
