Spotify is reportedly testing NFTs with some specially selected artists based in the US.
According to a report by Music Ally, leading music platform Spotify is testing an NFT feature that allows users to view the NFTs of some artists. There have been rumors since March that the company wanted to enter the Web 3.0 space.
When users are testing NFTs, they will not sell NFTs directly as they will need to interact with an external market to make purchases. Spotify will not cut sales as part of the test.
In addition to testing, users also reported that Spotify sent surveys.
