Popular music platform Spotify adds new features to enable its users to spend more time in the application. The platform, which recently tested the Featured Curators feature, aims to share users’ popular playlists with everyone. Now, it brings the TikTok-like vertical video feature.
Spotify users will soon be streaming their music via a ‘discovery feed’. This feature, which helps users find new music, is in testing phase. Here are the details!
Spotify will suggest you 15 8-second songs
TikTok’s vertical video discovery feature has been very popular in recent years. For this reason, many social media platforms have included this feature. Now Spotify is after this feature. This feature, called ‘Discover’, i.e. ‘Discover’, was shared by a tester.
Spotify’s test will suggest 15 8-second songs on the Spotify mobile app home screen. The company aims to achieve the success that TikTok has. It is possible to access this feature with the Explore button in the submenu of the platform.
In the same way as TikTok, vertical format content is consumed by scrolling. Of course, Spotify does not allow every user to share content. Short videos with video music shared by music publishers will take place in this area. At the bottom, there will be the name of the song, the artist and the image of the album.
Spotify will offer up to 15 new recommendations per day. If you like what you are listening to, you can follow the artist, add them to your list or share them on social media. For now, testing is limited to Android and iOS users in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand and the UK. There is no information yet about whether the beta will expand to different places.
