It wouldn’t be wrong to say that Spotify is a little behind in terms of live services compared to its competitors. The company’s Greenroom feature, which allows users to host and participate in live audio virtual environments called chat rooms, was an important step in this regard.

But you probably didn’t know about this feature because it wasn’t PR done very well. The company is taking a step forward with its live chat room feature, Greenroom, and plans to introduce new features. Let’s take a look at the details.

Spotify Greenroom will change to Spotify Live and will be added to the main application

Spotify is renaming Greenroom to Spotify Live. Spotify Live will be both a main application and a standalone application and will offer a live broadcast feature. Currently, the main app will feature live content selected from the original programming, and the Spotify Live app will be open to all independent creators.

Listeners will be able to connect to the live chat on Spotify via the creator’s podcast or artist page, and if they want to join the conversation or join the host as a speaker, they can use the Spotify Live app to do so.

Spotify has announced that it has launched some live event programs to announce its brand change, including events such as the podcast ‘Off the Record’, which will be exclusive to Spotify with DJ Akademiks.
