As the number of electric cars increases, companies are updating their applications in this direction. The last example of this came from Google Maps. Google’s Android Auto system now hosts a new feature for electric cars.
Android Auto will now show charging points for electric cars
Android Auto, which has been updated on electric cars for a while, says hello to a new feature. Accordingly, electric vehicle users will now see electric vehicle charging points, not gas stations, by default on the Google Maps application.
Google, which has been making updates for electric cars for a while, aims to provide a better user experience to electric vehicle owners. Thus, electric vehicle owners looking for charging stations will be able to see these points on Google Maps much more easily.
Google actually offered this feature in cars that came with Android Auto built-in as of 2020. So this technology is hardly new. However, this is fairly new for phone-based Android Auto users.
Thus, when an electric vehicle is chosen within the Android Auto system, users will automatically see charging points. Thus, this search, which most users have to enter manually, will be made automatically by Google Maps. Users will be able to choose to search for gas stations again, if they wish.
As the number of electric vehicles increases, more applications are getting new options. Thus, electric vehicle owners have a better user experience. So what do you think about the electric car charging point update coming to Google Maps? You can share your views with us in the comments section.
