A new feature has been developed for YouTube, the world’s most popular online video and live streaming platform. With this feature, users will start using YouTube-specific emojis just like in Twitch.
Emojis created for YouTube were called “YouTube Emoticons”. This feature, which can be used during live broadcasts or while commenting on videos, will be located under the “YouTube” heading added to the place where the emojis are located. The user will be able to use these new emojis while commenting.
Here’s what custom emojis on YouTube will look like:
YouTube’s custom emojis will have some special codes. For example, if you type “:yt:” in the “Add Comment” section, you’ll see an emoji with YouTube’s logo. YouTube states that for now, more game-related emojis are created, and special emojis will be created for many more categories in the future.
YouTube’s custom emojis look like this in the web version:
YouTube-exclusive emojis are now available to all users. Special emojis can be accessed via mobile apps and web versions.
