Apple has intensified its work for the highly anticipated iPad model with OLED screen. Leaking information continues to come for the model, which was first planned to be released in 2021 and then turned into a snake story.
OLED iPads will be better quality and thinner
It was previously announced that Apple plans to launch the first iPad models with OLED displays in 2024. Although it is successful in the screen, Apple, which has not yet switched to the OLED screen, is among the information that will do more about the iPad.
Apple currently has three display suppliers. While it is stated that Samsung has increased the quality of its panels for order, it is said that LG has prepared itself for OLED iPad screen orders, and BOE has recently made preparations for orders. However, no further details are known yet.
On the other hand, it was stated that Apple created several different prototypes of the product. The company wants iPads to be both thinner and higher quality. A different OLED technique will be used for this. While Samsung uses the wet etching process in traditional OLED production, Apple will prefer the dry etching method, which is a more advanced approach, in the production line.
Apple is aiming for definitive success in the OLED space. In previous reports, it was stated that depending on the success of iPads with 11 and 12.9 inch OLED screens, the first Macbook with OLED screen will be released in 2025.
