Recently, Delta Airlines announced that SpaceX has begun testing the Starlink satellite internet service on its aircraft. Now, JSX, an independent air carrier serving the USA, has signed an agreement with SpaceX to offer Wi-Fi to its passengers.
To be offered this year
JSX will become the first company to carry Starlink internet service with the agreement signed with SpaceX. The company, which provides service with approximately 100 aircraft, will begin to provide Starlink service to its passengers this year. Satellite internet service will be offered to passengers free of charge.
Delta tests Starlink internet service on its planes
SpaceX’ Currently, there are approximately 2300 Starlink satellites, and the company wants to place a total of 42,000 satellites in orbit to provide the service globally and ensure uninterrupted access.
