Tel Aviv-based company Sightful has introduced an extraordinary laptop. The Android-based Spacetop has no screen and the desktop is only visible when the user is wearing augmented reality glasses.
The bottom of the laptop is no different from classic laptops. It has a plastic body equipped with touchpad, keyboard, fingerprint scanner and ports. On the top there is nothing but a cutout for glasses and special sensors for head tracking.
The working principle is simple. User turns on laptop and puts on augmented reality glasses. After that, a 100-inch virtual screen appears in front of your face. Note that the desktop size can be adjusted.
No one else sees what you’re doing
The glasses included with the Spacetop are a modified version of Nreal Light. The device, which supports 1080p resolution for each eye, has an integrated speaker. The augmented reality glasses are permanently connected to the laptop via a cable.
The biggest advantage of Spacetop is that no one but you will be able to see what you are doing. In other words, it allows you to work wherever you want without worrying about privacy. You can see the technical specifications of the laptop without a physical screen through the list below.
