Recently, space agencies have begun to increase Mars missions. The biggest moves in this area come from the USA and China. Countries have previously sent vehicles to the planet to learn more about Mars. It seems that the two countries are in a secret competition on this issue.

China forms plans to accomplish Mars mission before US

China, which sent the Tianwen vehicle to Mars in July 2020, is in a race with the USA’s Mars exploration vehicle Perseverance. Both projects continue their exploration on the red planet to collect data about Mars.

The Chinese space agency wants to send a crewed mission to Mars within the next decade, according to new reports from Science Alert. For this reason, the company wants to bring back the Tianwen rover and start the Mars project as soon as possible. According to information received, China believes that it will complete this task two years before the USA.

On the other hand, NASA continues to attract attention with its Ingenuity helicopter, which has been performing its duty on the red planet since April 2021 within the scope of the Mars exploration program. The main purpose of the current mission is to search for evidence of ancient life. It does this with the help of the Perseverance vehicle and the Ingenuity helicopter.

The vehicles will bring data collected from the planet to Earth for analysis. Thus, scientists will obtain more detailed information about ancient life. Ingenuity is also gathering information about conditions on the planet to help NASA better prepare for its first human mission to Mars, which it plans to launch in 2030. It is a matter of curiosity whether China will be able to accomplish this task sooner.
