South Korean TV network Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) has partnered with Metaverse platform Sandbox.

It was noteworthy that one of South Korea’s four national television and radio organizations established a partnership with Sandbox and Metaverse.

MBC Will Be In Sandbox

Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC), one of South Korea’s 4 national television and radio networks, will have its symbolic office and production buildings in Sandbox as part of its agreement with Sandbox.

Last year, MBC included Metaverse avatars for the judges on The Masked Talent, a spin-off of the popular variety show The Masked Singer. The South Korean television network is also currently airing Avatar Singer, which is described as the first Metaverse survival music program. Avatar Singer uses augmented reality (AR) avatars to mask the identity of the contestants.

MBC isn’t the only South Korean business that has a deal with Sandbox, one of the popular Metaverse platforms. Sandbox has collaborated with several South Korean companies, including local entertainment giant CJ ENM and major K-Pop agencies SM and Cube Entertainment.
