South Korean banking giant Shinhan has become the first bank in the country to offer crypto account services to institutional customers.
As reported by local media ZDNet Korea, Shinhan reported that as of April 7, he created a corporate South Korean won account for crypto-asset transactions on crypto-asset trading platform Korbit.
The move will allow Korbit to trade cryptoassets in South Korean Won without having to deal with cross-border solutions through its own account. Market commentators stated that the step in question will be important not only for companies in the crypto space, but also for companies operating outside the crypto space.
