South Korea will set aside $177 million to support companies in the metaverse space.
The South Korean government has also been added to institutions interested in the Metaverse. The country’s Minister of Science, Information and Communication Technologies, Lim Hyesook, announced the metaverse investment plan and announced that they will allocate 177 million to finance companies and businesses in this field. Hyesook also said that the metaverse has tremendous potential.
The move forms a large part of the government’s Digital New Deal, which aims to seamlessly complete the digitization of the country.
