It has been officially confirmed that a remastered version (remake) of 2013 release The Last Of Us is coming to PlayStation 5 on September 2. Sony has prepared a trailer showing some of the amazing visuals of The Last of Us Part I and stated that the remake version will also come to PC. In addition, this package will also include the Left Behind expansion, which is quite impressive.
A new artificial intelligence is used in the game and the battle system is renewed. Effects and exploration are also being improved. The team leverages 3D audio and the adaptive triggers of the DualSense controller and haptic feedback. Building on the extensive options in The Last of Us Part II, it will have more accessibility features than the original game had. More details will be announced in the coming months.
Remake is offered as a full game with a price of $ 70. By opting for the $80 Digital Deluxe edition, you’ll be able to unlock some items and features early on, such as speed mode, explosive arrows, weapon skins, and modifiers for faster crafting and healing. The $100 Firefly edition includes all these bonuses plus the physical version and a steelbook cover for all four issues of The Last of Us: American Dreams comic. Various pre-order benefits are also offered for each edition.
However, this is not the only news about the brand. Indie multiplayer games set in the world of The Last of Us have long been known to be in the making, and now Naughty Dog has revealed more about what awaits us. Studio co-head Neil Druckmann, who directed the first two games in the series, showed off the first concept images at Summer Game Fest.
It’s going to be “as big and in some ways bigger than any of our single-player games we’ve made,” says Druckmann. It will feature a new setting, as well as its own story and a new cast of characters. This game is managed by a team of Naughty Dog names who have worked on the series and Uncharted games. More details will be announced next year.
Druckmann also talked about HBO’s upcoming The Last of Us series after this announcement. The second official photo from the series, which appeared in many set photos last year, was shared. Joel (Pedro Pascal) and (Bella Ramsay) are seen taking cover. Also, if you increase the brightness of the image, you can see something hidden in the background.
Filming of the first season has just ended. The series is expected to air next year.
