Sony Xperia 1 II and Xperia Pro get Android 12 update

Two models of Sony’s Xperia branded smartphones, Xperia 1 III and Xperia 5 III, received the Android 12 update. Xperia 1 II and Xperia Pro, one of the powerful flagships of 2020, are still in a very strong position with up to 12GB of RAM and Snapdragon 865. Xperia 1 II and Xperia Pro are phones with very similar features, but Xperia Pro can be used in a special way by connecting with Sony alpha cameras.

Sony Xperia’s Android interface offers a very simple and stock experience. With Android 12, Xperia incorporating Pixel features such as enhanced Privacy Dashboard, Nearby Share for Wi-Fi networks and expanded screen display, remains largely unchanged in the remainder. The Android 12 update comes with the January 2022 security patch. The update has been released in the United States for now, but is expected to be released globally soon.
