Microsoft’s Activision Blizzard acquisition, which will be the largest in history if approved, has been waiting for approval for over a year due to Sony’s major objections. While China and the EU ratified the agreement, the UK did not.
While Sony argued that the acquisition would give Microsoft a competitive advantage, a big move came from Sony today. The alias “Liz”, who has shared many consistent leaks before, suggested on the Discord server that Sony could buy CD Projekt Red.
Sony, the developer of The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 can buy!
The claim does not include the value of the possible Sony-CD Projekt Red deal. In addition, the claim ends with the phrase “plans” only. There is currently no source of the claim or any finding supporting the claim.
The factor that makes the claim talk so much is Liz’s previous consistent leaks. Liz, who made successful leaks about the Destiny game in particular, also became the owner of a Discord server with thousands of people thanks to this reputation.
Another detail that Liz shared was about the sequel to the previously canceled Days Gone. Liz suggested that development of Days Gone 2 has begun.
What if Sony buys CD Projekt Red?
Sony’s acquisition of CD Projekt Red may mean that all games developed by the developer company are PlayStation Exclusive. This move won’t affect already released games like The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077, but if the acquisition does happen, we can expect the next Witcher game to be a PlayStation exclusive.
