Sony has been carrying some of its special games developed for the PlayStation platform to the PC for the last few years. Many special games, from God of War to Spider-Man, have also been released for PC. And now it looks like Gran Turismo 7 will be added to this list. It can be considered an exciting development for PC gamers when Kazunori Yamauchi, who worked on the game, said that the studio was “seriously considering it”.
In an interview with GTPlanet during a Gran Turismo 25th Anniversary event, when asked about Polyphony Digital’s PC port, Yamauchi replied, “It’s not an easy subject, but of course we’re researching and thinking about it.”
Yamauchi explained why it wouldn’t be effortless: “Gran Turismo is a very finely tuned game. There aren’t many platforms that can run the game natively at 4K/60p, so one way we’re going to make that possible is to narrow down the platform.”
Gran Turismo 7 was released for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on March 4, 2022. But we don’t expect the game to come to PC yet. Spider-Man: Miles Morales’ PC adventure, which started earlier this month, is expected to be followed by Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part 1 Remake in the first stage. Leaks also say that Returnal is coming to PC as well. But it would be a surprise if Sony reveals more for Gran Turismo 7 by 2023.
