Many topics were discussed during Sony’s annual investor briefing, including increasing PlayStation 5 production and ensuring that more people could buy the console. One of the more interesting news came during the question-and-answer session. The company has confirmed that three more of its games will be TV series.
A series based on the Horizon games will come to Netflix, and God of War will come to Prime Video. PlayStation Productions is also developing a Gran Turismo TV series, although it has not yet been announced on which platform it will air.
Turning some of its biggest games into TV series and movies has been Sony’s main focus in recent years. They tried to make an Uncharted movie for over a decade and finally released it this year. Ghost of Tsushima is currently filming. On the TV front, a Twisted Metal drama will follow, with the first season of HBO’s highly anticipated The Last of Us expected to wrap up in the next few weeks.
