Sony has announced the new screen technology with individual RGB LED control. The new system, which works differently from OLED technology, draws attention with its more sensitive art lighting control and advanced color performance.

Sony introduced a brand new television concept with RGB LED Art lighting. This technology brings together the powerful brightness of Little LED on a single screen with the vibrant colors OLED offers. Sony’s new television, combining the advantages of two technologies, promises a more suitable cruise experience for its users.

Color loss problem disappears with RGB LED technology

Japanese technology company Sony shared the details of its new screen technology. Red, green and blue LEDs in the system were inspected independently from each other. In this way, the colors are more wrong and realistic, while a wide range of color gamut was also provided. It was emphasized that black tones and color transitions become much more obvious by the precise adjustment of art lighting in one -to -one time.

Sony’s new screen technology has been announced. Compared to this, the screens, 99 %of the DCI-P3 color area used by the cinema industry and BT.2020 color range covers approximately 90 %. In addition, the maximum regional brightness level of the screens can be exceeded to 4,000 cd/m². In a statement made by Sony, thanks to the new technology OLED panels frequently encountered in the very brightness and black tones of detail losses were eliminated.

Sony’s new screen technology developed, the processors provided by MediaTek and Rohm company produced by LED driver circuits were announced. LED components were produced by Sanan Optoelectronics. Sony announced that it will begin to use the screen technology of Kalam on both consumer televisions and on screens for professional content production.
