According to the statement, Hiroki Totoki will be Sony’s new CEO as of April 1, 2025. This decision was taken when the current CEO Kenichiro Yoshida quit the leadership. Yoshida will continue his duty in Sony as the chairman of the company.

However, Hideaki Nishino was appointed as the only CEO to manage the entire PlayStation. With this change, Nishino was responsible for the PlayStation hardware and software ecosystem, while game studios and content management were entrusted to Hermen Hulst.
