Sony, which brings together its PlayStation brand-specific games with computer players one by one, has now decided to change its publisher name on Steam. The famous company, which previously published some of its games on Steam under the name PlayStation Mobile, Inc, will now sell its games under the name PlayStation PC LLC.

Sony, which did not want to bring its console-specific games to other platforms since 1994, when the PlayStation brand emerged, had changed its plans in the past. The Japanese company, which offers its well-established productions such as Days Gone and Horizon Zero Dawn to PC players, recently announced that God of War will meet with players on January 14, 2021.
Finally, traces of another PlayStation-specific game, Sackboy: A Big Adventure, were found in GeForce’s driver codes. Today, a new one has been added to these developments, which show how much importance Sony will attach to the PC world in the new era. Sony, which previously released the game under the name PlayStation Mobile on Steam, changed this name to PlayStation PC.
A user on Twitter discovered that Sony has not newly registered the name PlayStation PC LLC, but the name was taken on April 13, 2021 in the state of California, USA. This name, which was registered about 7 months ago, also shows that Sony has a long-term plan to enter the PC world.
Although the games that will be released in the new period will be published under the name of PlayStation PC, this change has not yet been fully reflected on Steam. While PlayStation PC appears in Days Gone’s publisher tab, the publisher for Horizon Zero Dawn and God of War still remains PlayStation Mobile. It is expected that this confusion will be completely cleared in the coming days and the new name will be included in all games.
