Sony shared its results for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2022. In this context, the company, which announced many important data from console sales to the number of subscribers of services such as PS Plus, experienced a decrease in sales in direct proportion to the ongoing chip crisis.
The company sold two million PS5s in the fourth quarter of the fiscal year. The console, which experienced a decrease of 1.3 million compared to the same period of the previous year, has made a total of 19.3 million sales to date. Sony’s other console, PS4, also suffered from the drop in question. The console sold 100,000 units in the last three months. Compared to the same period of the previous year, it experienced a decrease of 900 thousand. That’s a total of 117.2 million sales so far.
Of course, it is normal to some extent that there are decreases in sales. Because the chip crisis; It affects the console market, as it does in every other area, reducing sales. However, there is a stock shortage around the world.
Sony’s number of games sold has also been announced.
