According to data from OpenSea, Sunnybay.eth purchased the Sony.eth domain name for 48 ETH.
Sunnybay.eth, an Ethereum Name Service (ENS) collector, purchased the domain name Sony.eth for approximately $72,000.
The bid made by Sunnybay resulted in a purchase after just six minutes. Sunnybay also has many important ENS domains such as ipad.eth, coke.eth.
ENS domain names are much easier to remember than ETH wallet addresses. It is known for making crypto trading very easy.
Since these ENS domains are essentially NFTs, they can be traded on marketplaces such as OpenSea.
The sale of Sony.eth is the latest example of the popularity of ENS domains. Although a $1 million bid was made to Amazon.eth a short while ago, the sale has not yet taken place.
