Sony shared details about the PlayStation Showcase event, which gamers have been waiting for a long time. In a blog post shared by PlayStation, it announced that the event will be held on Wednesday, May 24, at 23:00.
The company stated that the event will be longer than an hour, signaling that we may encounter big things. It was reported that PlayStation Showcase can be followed live on PlayStation’s official YouTube and Twitch accounts.
PS5 and PS VR2 games in development will be shown
The event will feature new PS5 and PS VR2 games developed by studios around the world. “Check out a few new titles from PlayStation Studios, as well as some great games from our third-party partners and indie developers,” the company says.
We are likely to see new details about Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, one of the most anticipated PlayStation games, at the event. Sony has so far shared few details about Spider-Man 2, which is said to be released in 2023. We can also learn more about Wolverine, also developed by Insomniac. Apart from these, multiplayer The Last of Us 2 and multiplayer Horizon game announcements may come.
Third-party games are said to include Tekken 8, Mortal Kombat 12, Death Stranding 2 and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. We’ll have to wait until next week to see what happens.
