Sony, which makes moves from time to time in different sectors as well as the main electronic device categories in which it operates, is targeting content producers this time. Mocopi motion capture sensors will allow you to create 3D avatars.

What is Sony Mocopi?

Launched under the name Sony Mocopi, the motion capture sensor allows you to create fluid 3D avatars by sending the data it collects to the mobile application. It is also possible to create short films in different software such as Unity with plug-ins.

There should be 6 sensors in total because data needs to be collected from wrists, waist, head and feet. The application can process this data without the need for any other software. The 8-gram sensor offers up to 10 hours of battery life. It is also suitable for underwater use with IP68.

The Sony Mocopi sensor is priced at $358. It is necessary to pay more than $2000 for a full set. Although it is easy to use, it seems to be a bit high in terms of budget. The mobile application is compatible with Xperia 1 and Xperia 5 phones.
