InZone M9, one of the new Sony gaming monitors made for PC and stated to work in perfect harmony with Xbox Series X and PS5, is the flagship product of the group. Apart from the OLED panel, the monitor, which basically has every imaginable feature that the gamers could want, offers a 27-inch 4K IPS screen designed to match the aesthetics of the PS5. 144Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, variable refresh rate (VRR for both consoles and G-Sync compatible Nvidia GPUs), DisplayPort and HDMI 2.1, USB-C port are among the remarkable connections.

Notably, the M9 features 96-zone full array local dimming combined with DisplayHDR 600 which allows for brighter colours, darker blacks and the ability to compensate without too much halo effect. There are some features (that we see on high-end Bravia TVs) exclusive to this monitor; Like automatic HDR tone mapping. This feature automatically detects the monitor when the PS5 is connected and optimizes the HDR output of the screen. There’s also a kind of auto picture mode that can automatically switch to cinema mode when a video is opened and then revert to low latency mode when you start playing games again.

The 4K gaming monitor Sony InZone M9 does not include cables, despite its $899 price tag. Sony states that they made such a decision as the required cable type, version and length will vary depending on customer usage.

The Sony InZone M3 monitor, which will be sold at a cheaper price ($ 529), contains some shortcomings, as you can imagine. There’s no full array local dimming, the resolution drops to 1080p, and it offers a peak 400 clear brightness. But the screen refresh rate is 240Hz.
