Sony’s Xbox Game Pass rival subscription service, which has been on the agenda with allegations for a long time, has finally been announced. Sony announced its Game Pass competitor PlayStation Plus service
, which has become popular after the increase in game prices in recent years and allows dozens of games to be played easily on console and PC with a certain monthly subscription fee. Following Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass service, Sony took a similar step. The company combined PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now services under one roof and created a new PlayStation Plus service with 4 different subscription packages.
Sony’s PlayStation Plus service will be launched in June 2022 and will begin to serve its subscribers with its library of approximately 400 games. Service; Essential, Extra, Premium and Deluxe packages for countries where PS Now are not active will be available to subscribers.
PlayStation Plus Essential:
- Two downloads per month
- Special deals
- Cloud storage for saved games
- Online games access
PlayStation Plus Extra:
- Includes all privileges in the Essentials package
- Nearly 400 PS4 and PS5 games from PlayStation Studios and third-party developers
PlayStation Plus Premium:
- Includes all privileges in Essential and Extra packages
- A library of 340 games in addition to a library of 400 games
- The library of 340 games includes original PlayStation, PS2, PSP and PS3 titles on PS Now.
- In countries where PlayStation Now is available, original PlayStation, PS2, PSP and PS4 games offered in Extra and Premium packages will be playable on PS4, PS5 and PC via cloud.
- This package will also include special trial versions for the games. In this way, subscribers will be able to try the games before purchasing them.
The full list of countries that will benefit from PlayStation Plus service has not been announced yet, but it should be noted that the Deluxe package offered for countries where PS Now is not active will be used in our country.
Deluxe will come at a lower price than Premium and will include a library of original PlayStation, PS2 and PSP titles (available to download and play). It will also offer all the privileges (except for the cloud service) offered in the Essential and Extra packages, as well as special trial versions of the games to the subscribers.
