The manufacturer, which excited the industry by entering the prototyping phase especially for the 600 Megapixel camera sensor in 1/0.57 inch dimensions, on the other hand, has made a sound with the claims that it has recently applied for a trademark under the name Hexa2Pixel for the 450 Megapixel sensor.
Is Samsung working on a 450 Megapixel sensor?
If we look at the recent developments regarding the company, we can say that a lot of work has been spent to make an important breakthrough on the camera side. The 1/0.57 inch 600 Megapixel camera sensor mentioned here is expected to be introduced in 2025. In addition, the 450 Megapixel sensor claims that have been made recently are highly likely to be correct.

Samsung recently introduced the 200 Megapixel supported Isocell HP3 sensor, which has been expected for a long time due to its advanced features. There is an expectation that the company, which continues to work in this field day by day, will launch higher resolution sensors in the coming periods.
The company’s trademark application under the name Hexa2Pixel led to rumors that it was working on the 450 Megapixel sensor. In fact, there is not the slightest detail about the camera resolution in the application. However, the use of the name Hexa²Pixel brought to mind the idea that Samsung is in such a work.
Presumably, Hexa2pixel is a continuation of the binning technologies the company used in its previous sensors, such as Tetra2pixel. In fact, it is claimed that the manufacturer will combine 6×6 pixel groups, that is, 36 pixels in a single pixel, to produce a sensor with a resolution of 432-450 Megapixels.
