Snapdragn 8 Gen 3 arrives earlier than expected

Qualcomm has set the launch date of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 as October 2023. The new processor will show itself at the company’s annual Snapdragon Summit. The event, which is planned to be held in Maui, Hawaii, will open its doors on October 24-26.

Qualcomm will share with us the details of its flagship processor, as well as other technologies, at its event, which has now become a classic. The company, which previously introduced Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and 2 in November, surprised everyone in this sense.

The new processor seems to surprise with its performance as well as its introduction date. According to the information received, the processor, which will gain a significant performance upgrade, will host the 3.7GHz Cortex-X4 core. Changes are also expected in the core architecture of the processor.

The most up-to-date chipset used today, Snadpragon 8 Gen 2, has Cortex-X3 architecture and operates at 3.2 GHz. This means that performance will be directly affected in daily use. In addition, the new processor is expected to have a 1+5+2 architecture, with one “super-large” core, five “large” cores and two “small” cores.

Another upgrade that will be offered with Snapdrago 8 Gen 3 will be the Adreno 750 GPU with a frequency of 770 MHz. Let us remind you that Adreno 740 GPUs produced with 4nm architecture are currently used. Qualcomm also relies on TSMC on the production side. On the other hand, TSMC will use advanced variants called N4P instead of N4 chips in new processors.

Qualcomm still wants to represent the pinnacle of Android phones with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. So what do you think about Qualcomm and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processors? You can share your views with us in the comments section.
