It was estimated that the first smartphone to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, which offers 20 percent more performance compared to the Snapdragon 888, would be Xiaomi or Samsung production. However, acting first of all, Motorola introduced the Moto Edge X30 model, powered by Gen 1, yesterday. Continuing to share information about the processor, Ice Universe drew attention to heating problems this time.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 overheating
Analyst Ice Universe, in a statement on his Twitter account, stated that a heating problem was observed in the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 model. Stating that the processor is overheating under difficult test conditions, Universe explained the danger waiting for Android users as follows:

Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 competes with A15 Bionic
According to the data of Ice Universe; The iPhone 13 Pro, which ranked first with the A15 Bionic processor in the 3DMark test, scored 11,699 points. The second-placed Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 had 10,443 points. Having achieved 267 FPS in the GFXBench Manhattan Offscreen ES 3.0 tests, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 managed to surpass the second-ranked iPhone 13 Pro with 215 FPS.
The US version of the Samsung Galaxy S22 series, which will be introduced next year, will use Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. On the other hand, Gen 1 will also be found in the Xiaomi 12 series, which is expected to be introduced on December 28.
