PlayStation 5, which was released on November 12, 2020, did a good job despite factors such as economic uncertainty, supply problem and chip crisis caused by the coronvirus. The console, which reached 10 million in July of 2021, could not meet Sony’s expectations at that time.
However, we have seen a leap in the last 1 year. The company’s policy on the game side has exceeded its sales target with the special PS 5 versions. According to Sony’s share, PlayStation 5 has sold more than 40 million units since its release.

When we look at the game console that the brand has sold the most to date, PlayStation 2 welcomes us with 159 million sales. PlayStation 2 was among the consoles that could be considered revolutionary.
On the other hand, Sony continues to work on the PlayStation 5 Pro. According to important sources, the company has passed the final stage for the PlayStation 5 Pro. It is among the leaked information that the console will be released in November 2024. It is also speculated that the new console will include the newer AMD RDNA architecture such as RDNA3 or RDNA3.5, which further expands the capabilities of the processor.
